What makes our wedding day beautiful isn't just the location and setting, it is beautiful because of our family and friends who were there to help make it happen. When we needed advice, you were there. When we needed help, it was provided. When the tasks were mounting, you provided support. When we needed to talked, you listened. Thank you so much for all that you have done.

We would like to thank everyone who was a part of our wedding. Whether it was a simple congratulations to wedding showers to attending the ceremony, you contributed to our special day. Thank you! If someone in your RSVP party cannot make it, you can typically substitute someone else to take their place. With our wedding there is just one extra step you'll need to take if this applies to you. You'll need to let Diana or I know. Our wedding/reception host requires a list of names for the guests who are attending. If a person's name is not on the list, they will not be allowed into the wedding and reception area. Thanks and we look forward to seeing you all in 14 days!

During the reception our guests will hear over two hours of music ranging from known classical pieces to movie soundtracks to modern soft rock. Our challenge for our guests is to name of the song or, in the case of a movie, what movie the song originates. There is no prize, but the game should be a fun activity to play at each table. Sixteen months ago is when we officially started dating. It was Mother's day, May 10th, of 2009. Our first summer was filled with meeting family and friends. As fall came around, we started celebrating holidays together. We shared in both family traditions for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Diana discovered my mom's famous cheese rolls while I soon learned the significance of a buttered finger (you'll have to ask Diana's dad about that one). With the cooler weather of late winter and early spring, we again began to travel to beaches, state parks, and national parks. Diana's made a big change to go back to school for her Nutrition degree, which meant she would move up to Porterville. Then June 9th came around and we were engaged.

Now it is October 10th, 2010, just 20 days away from being married. A new adventure is about to begin soon! What better way to start it off by having friends and family celebrate with us 20 days from now! We are looking forward to having you a part of our special day!!

Hello family and friends! This is just a reminder to RSVP within the next 10 days. Our caterer and cake maker need a final count of how many people will be attending by September 30th. They won’t let us make changes past this date, so we will have to hold firm once we are into October to how many people are attending. Please let us know either way if you will be coming by September 30th.  If you are unable to attend for whatever reason, photos and possibly videos of the wedding and reception will be available online.  Please know we will not be offended if you are unable to attend.

The invitations will be sent out by the end of this month, which means our guests can start to RSVP! Invitations sent out will allow for you guys to RSVP in two ways. The first way is by phone. A phone number will be included on the invitation. The second way is via our website. You may have noticed a new link near the top right of our page saying "RSVP." Today I went down to Men's Wearhouse to get the tuxedo process started. It took about 15 minutes, which was great! One thing I discovered, and am thankful for, is as long as there is a Men's Wearhouse near one of my groomsmen, they can get fitted there. Groomsmen can also have the suit shipped to the Visalia store and pick it up there too. When the wedding is over, they can drop it off at the Visalia store or take it back with them to where they were fitted. It is nice having a store chain around that offers customers options.

I will post what the colors will be later as that is the last detail being worked on. The suits are black, but the vest may be a different color. No worries about having green suits or anything like that ;)

It has been nearly a month since the last update! What has been going on you may be thinking? Well a lot of traveling actually. Diana and I traveled back east to meet family living in Illinois. We had a great time! We worked on some wedding stuff when we could, but it wasn’t until July that we really hit the ground running. A lot of people have given advice, opinions, and told us things they wish they had done different. I know we are both thankful for it all the information shared so far.

Don’t have an invitation? Not to worry my family and friends. They have not gone out yet :). However, the date is still October 30th, so you should be able to plan accordingly.

Check back once a week for updates on how we are doing. I should be posting more often now that traveling for work/fun has slowed down.
